Sneaky sunset Taj – a Snippet

We arrived in Agra in the afternoon and since we are staying within a walking distance to the Taj Mahal, we decided to do the walk and catch a glimpse. An exhausting walk through ravenous touts and smells, then around the red sandstone walls and avoiding numerous poos and monkeys we found ourselves at the banks of the Yamuna river. After quenching Delhi’s thirst and taking up numerous sewage wastes along the way, it looked deadly in its stillness. It was dirty, smelly and eerie with the mist in the distance and the sun going down.
Still, the Taj looked its part. Even from behind.Â
Beautiful photo! and by the way I love your header photo of the old men all lined up with their hats, brilliant ;-)
