Mui Ne was waiting for us

Vietnam is not all cone shaped leaf hats and rice paddies. The rumors are that it has some pretty good beaches and islands for those in search of some sand in the bathing suit experience.
Today we arrived in Mui Ne, a somewhat sleepy resort development about 4.5 hours bus ride from Ho Chi Minh (Saigon). The usual bargaining and tout dealings took us to a room with a view, bathtub in front of the window, two double beds to spread on, all for $25.
I am not sure what else the town has to offer, but the beach did not disappoint.
That looks like so much fun! And that room sounds wonderful!! What a steal. Miss you around the board but truly enjoy keeping up with you all here. Cheers!
We had a great time there, Mel. The room sounded better than it was ;) Miss you too.
I’m loving your blog :) Your pictures are beautiful too!
Was just wondering – we’re going to vietnam in June/July too – what was the weather like? Was the rain a huge dampener, especially at the beach?
Megha, the weather was fine.
With weather you just never know. Sometimes the good season will turn out bad and vice versa. Have a good time!
