More Japanese flavor..

I had planned to make these Gyoza, originally Chinese, for the party, but since the kids were mostly running around having fun and didnt seem very hungry, I made them the day after. I have never attempted them before, but love ordering them.
I followed this recipe, except I used ready gyoza wrappers. I was not going to roll dough in the middle of the party. I do draw the line somewhere.
They were delicious and disappeared in no time. Mr.Blab declared that he could eat 50 of them. So next time instead of 30 I have to make about 150 ;)
Do try them.
Do.
Now, I am hungry…
They do look delicious. Did you make them with pork?
Yes. But they have vegetarian recipes, if that is what you are after.
Yum! I have had these before and they are definitely a favorite – I’ll have to give it a go and make some.
Thanks ;-)
Nina, try them. I think you will love them. Try to find gyoza wrappers, not wonton ones. The first are a bit thicker. That is if you dont do your own, of course.
I was asking because I think the only time I’ve ever had them they were mushroom, but I may be wrong. I think they call them “potstickers” in these parts of the globe.
Yep, potstickers. And I think they have a variety of fillings for you to choose from.
I absolutely love Gyoza. It’s among my favorite foods, and from the looks of your plates, I would enjoy yours.
Cheers, Chris.
